And the Saga Begins: My Master Gardener Internship Journey
The journey has officially begun! I’m now a few weeks into the Master Gardener internship program, and I have to say—it’s been both exciting and intense in the best way possible.
Every week, I attend class, diving deep into topics that make me appreciate gardening on an entirely new level. The reading and homework assignments are in full force. So far, I’ve explored landscape design, botany and plant physiology, and soil and plant nutrition. It’s fascinating to learn how everything ties together, from the microscopic interactions in the soil to the way plants absorb nutrients and thrive.
Speaking of soil, I even submitted a sample from my own garden to test its health and acidity levels. The results should be coming in soon, and I can’t wait to see what they reveal.
What excites me the most is the opportunity to put all this knowledge into action. I’m already looking at my garden differently, thinking about ways to improve the soil, enhance plant health, and design a space that’s both beautiful and functional. This is just the beginning, but I already know this experience will transform the way I garden—and I can’t wait to keep learning and growing!
